Dear Sorors:

As we continue our commitment to the development of Alpha Kappa Alpha women to serve in the sorority, professionally and in our communities, I am excited to announce the official launch of the Executive Leadership Academy (ELA). The Academy is another offering from AKA University and will debut with the inaugural class in Atlanta, Georgia from May 13-15, 2020.

As I travel around the country and engage with sorors at regional and international meetings, I am often asked how I became a college president or what steps to take to secure a corporate board appointment. The sorors I encounter also want to learn what steps to take to better position themselves for international appointments within Alpha Kappa Alpha and for promotions at their jobs. The Executive Leadership Academy was developed to assist members in achieving their personal and professional goals. The program is designed for senior-level professionals who are seeking to climb the next rung on the ladder of success.

We have planned an exciting, interactive learning incubator that will expose participants to top executives who have proven records of success. Class size is limited to 25. Please note that all application materials must be submitted electronically as a single file following the naming convention specifications detailed in the application no later than 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Successful applicants will be notified no later than April 7, 2020.
